Kirsten was sent these photo's of Seamus, and chose the shot where he is slightly awake on the pillow. Eyes are an important part of a drawing, and the pillow made an unusual, less typical pose for a cat. Kirsten chose to only include the part of Seamus on the pillow in her sketch; concentrating on the facial and front paw detail; including all of the lounging cat would have taken away from the cat's interesting pose, and slightly irritated look. Seamus's owner was delighted with the drawing, and said it captured Seamus's aloof, "leave me alone right now" personality.
