Being a wife since 1966, a mother of 3, foster mom to 75 youngsters and grandmother to 10 has given me many opportunities to be creative. But I have also learned along the way to organize, be concise in instructions and flexible in approaching varied situations. Painting since 1993 and teaching since 1997, the Lord has provided me with a studio/retail shop where I teach from and host other teachers. My spacious home is a B&B for all, but especially as a "painter's retreat" for those who need to "get away from it all" for some relaxing painting time, or to try a new approach to a painting project. I travel near and far, I have membership in Society of Decorative Painters, DAIC, and Strathroy District Arts Council. I am an Ann Kingslan Accredited Teacher, a Certified Mary Owens Teacher, a Genesis Accredited Artisan, and I hold the Canadian Standards of Excellence in Primitive and Colour Theory. Belonging to organizations like the Society of Decorative Painters is and excellent way to get support, to network, and to develop as a painter. I highly recommend belonging to a painting group, be it locally or nationally. RECreative Art was born out of a longing to promote the decorative art field, to re-create in me (and others) a freedom to be and to try new approaches without fear and trepidation. It also is a name that can be linked with rec-reation and the fun of expressing oneself through the art media. So, pronounce it as you will, for that is where you will find what it is you are looking for and can find in a small town called Parkhill! My designs and pattern packets can be found in my shop and many others in the Southwestern Ontario and Quebec (all can be found on this website). It is with praise to God and thanksgiving that I share these gifts of mine at paint-ins such as Passion Couleurs, HOOT, and the Coast to Coast Painting Conventions . |

Be it watches or
mural walls, castles or patio stones, or anything in-between, if it doesn't
move - I paint it!
