    Sylvan Scale Models is a manufacturer of quality cast polyurethane resin model railroad kits.  Our kits are prototypically accurate and finely detailed, making them an easily marketed product.  In addition to the kits and other products currently listed in our catalogue, we always have a number of items "on the drawing board".  We are continually working on patterns for new kits, and welcome suggestions from you and your customers.

    We do not have a retail store, and sell directly to the public only at a few major train shows.  We support our dealers, and prefer to leave retailing to you.  Our presence at shows is to promote our products to customers and dealers alike, and to introduce new kits.  Dealer lists are prominently displayed at our table, and customers and browsers alike are encouraged to take one home.

    We have limited direct sales through mail order from advertisements in model railroading magazines.  Any direct mail order sales we do fill are charged full suggested retail price, at least $6.00 S&H, plus any required taxes.   We do all we can to discourage mail orders, and encourage any inquiries we receive to purchase from then on at our dealers.  If there is not one of our dealers nearby, we request that they contact one of the dealers on our list and mail order from them.
