THE MONITONE

                                                                                        A VERY FUNCTIONAL ACCESSORY!

I ran across an article in a 1950s QST for a CW monitor and decided to incorporate it into a station monitor
to use with one of my boatanchor stations.  The MONITONE is the result; it incorporates RX/TX switching,
CW/AM monitoring, receiver muting, and an SWR bridge.  The oscillator uses an NE-51 lamp in a relaxation
circuit with variable tone.  The unit is now mated up with my 75A-4 and HX-50 and makes operating much
                      more enjoyable.
